We are absolutely delighted to announce that we are the proud new owners of Ffynnon Grog Holiday Cottages! Mr and Mrs Kidson have spent many years welcoming visitors to Ffynnon Grog and we now wish them well as they start a new phase of their lives. As we take over the reins from them, Natalie and I will do our best to ensure that your stay here is memorable and enjoyable.
We will be spending several weeks carrying out a programme of refurbishments, but we are now taking bookings for Christmas 2016, New Year, and all of 2017. Bookings are already coming in for next year, so please contact us (Natalie Fleming or Andree Thomas) if you are interested in holidaying with us. We will be very pleased to welcome new and returning visitors to our beautiful cottages.
Four holiday cottages set in 20 acres of meadowland with fabulous sea views , about half a mile from the beautiful golden sandy beach at Mwnt . Our farm is in a lovely peaceful location on this spectacular stretch of coastline in West Wales. The National Trust headland above Mwnt beach has panoramic views over Cardigan Bay and dolphins, seals and choughs are regularly sighted here. There are estimated to be around 200 bottle-nosed dolphins resident in Cardigan Bay & guests love to watch them – sometimes from their holiday cottage here at Mwnt! The Ceredigion Coastal Path passes along the cliffs here & with the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path forms part of the All Wales coastal path. The attractive market town of Cardigan with its range of shops, pubs & restaurants is about 4 miles away.
There’s lots to see and do in the area: walking, fishing, wildlife watching, horse riding, golf, cycling, castles & gardens to explore, boat trips on the sea or take a canoe trip down the beautiful river Teifi – if you’re lucky you might spot an otter. There are lots of little bays along this coastline, some only accessible by boat or on foot.
There are many small coastal villages to visit – Aberporth, Tresaith, Llangrannog and New Quay are all nearby; St Dogmaels with its ancient abbey and Poppit Sands are just south of Cardigan. A little further afield are the Georgian harbour village of Aberaeron and the larger resorts of Aberystwyth & Tenby. St Davids & the north Pembrokeshire coast make an interesting day trip – or just take it easy on the golden sand at Mwnt.
